Mathew Kelly
Head of Real Estate
Mathew has over 20 years’ experience in real estate law. He regularly advises on acquisitions and disposals, leasehold matters, development projects and property finance.
Mathew acts for both local and international clients and has gained an excellent reputation for his commercial awareness and high level client service.
Mathew originally qualified as a real estate solicitor in England and Wales in 2002. He worked at an international law firm for 10 years, before moving to Bermuda to join Wakefield Quin as a senior real estate attorney. In the 11 years he has worked in Bermuda, Mathew has accumulated significant experience in all aspects of Bermuda property law and has built up an extensive client base.

Elizabeth Lopes
Senior Property Assistant
Liz has worked as a legal assistant specializing in conveyancing matters for over 30 years.
She provides first class support to the attorneys and clients with her extensive knowledge, experience and meticulous eye for detail.
Prior to joining Hamilton Legal, Liz spent 15 years at Christopher E. Swan & Co. where she was the senior assistant to several property attorneys.

Max Quin
Director and founding principal
Max has many years’ experience in international corporate law, trusts and general private client work.
He also serves as a director of various international companies both in Bermuda and abroad.
Max previously served as consultant to Wakefield Quin Limited for 18 years, providing consulting services to the corporate practice of the firm. Prior to this, Max was the proprietor of M.L.H Quin & Co., a Bermuda based law firm specializing in corporate, trust and commercial legal services. He was also the proprietor and principal of M Q Services Ltd, a corporate services firm and Church Bay Trust Co. Ltd., a licensed Bermuda trust company that provided trustee services to clients of M.L.H. Quin & Co.
